Product Line Manager Footwear

Job Description

Product Line Manager Footwear

Craft of Scandinavia AB
Product Department, Craft HQ Borås
Reports to: COO
Full-time job

The Role

The Product Line Manager Footwear is responsible for building, managing, and optimizing the seasonal footwear line architecture in alignment with category strategy, commercial targets, and brand positioning.

The role ensures a balanced, competitive, and profitable product line by driving line planning, lifecycle management, and cross-functional execution from concept to end-of-life.

The role requires flexible working hours, as the Footwear team is partly based at HQ in Borås and partly at our design studio in Los Angeles, USA. This is not a traditional 9-to-5 position. The role offers a high level of freedom under responsibility, with expectations of ownership and accountability.

• Identify assortment gaps and white space opportunities.

Commercial & Performance Ownership

• Monitor and analyze sell-in and sell-out performance across markets.
• Drive action plans based on sales trends, margin development, and inventory status.
• Lead seasonal range reviews and performance follow-ups with key stakeholders.
• Recommend lifecycle decisions (expansion, reduction, phase-out, carry-over).

Product Creation & Briefing

• Together with Global Business Manager Footwear own and author seasonal product briefs aligned with line strategy.
• Translate consumer insights and market trends into clear product direction.
• Partner closely with Design and Development to ensure execution aligns with the commercial line plan.
• Secure that product cost, margin, and target price are aligned from brief to final product.

Cross-Functional Alignment

• Work closely with Sales, Key Markets, Marketing, GTM, and Supply to ensure the line meets market needs and launch requirements.
• Provide clear product positioning and segmentation guidelines to support sell-in and communication.
• Act as category expert in internal range presentations and commercial reviews.

Go-To-Market & Lifecycle Management

• Support naming, product copy briefing, and positioning to ensure consistent storytelling.
• Ensure accurate product data and timely system updates (Centric PLM and related systems).
• Support forecasting and demand planning with structured line information.

Profile & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in product line management, merchandising, or category management (footwear strongly preferred).
• Strong commercial understanding (margin, pricing, range architecture, lifecycle).
• Experience working with footwear suppliers and understanding factory production processes is considered a strong advantage.
• Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into clear actions.
• Experience working cross-functionally in a matrix organization.
• Structured and detail-oriented with strong planning capabilities.
• Confident presenter and communicator.
• Fluent in English and Swedish.
• Willingness to travel when required.
